Sometimes I wish I could say the words.
Wish I knew how to let you in.
How to hurt you back.
How to make you stay.
How to say goodbye...
For Noelle ♥
so I’m skyping with this guy I used to like and he asked me to help him with his school project and I was like “man, I’d love to help but I’m not really up to it this weekend. maybe you could ask someone else???”
and he was like “no it’s okay if u don’t want to but there’s literally no one else I’d ask bc I only like doing this stuff with you” theN THERE WAS LIKE A PANG IN MY CHEST AND HE GOT ALL FLUSTERED ON THE OTHER END OF THE LINE LIKE “ahem.. no I meant…. not exacly with with you, but yeah that too… just…. ugh I’m not sure what I’m saying anymore but you know what I meant”
and i’m just like??????? I mean ppl used to tell me he was head over heels for me but I never believed them???? omg should I accept helping him out?????
a person is not their vices, especially when those vices are coping mechanisms created to deal with childhood abuse and trauma (it doesn’t make the vices themselves any more justifiable, of course, they are still negatives that a person needs to work through).
dean seeks out alcohol to numb out the pain, dean seeks out women for both physical comfort and emotional fulfillment (it’s a way of receiving and giving the affection that was denied to him), dean being quick to engage in physical confrontation is how he validates his lack of self-worth because deep down he believes he deserves that treatment.
THEY DO NOT DEFINE DEAN AT HIS CORE
THEY DO NOT DESCRIBE WHAT DEAN WISHES HE COULD BE

Jensen Ackles article in SFX Magazine (but first I’d like to thank one of my good friends Jo Wren for posting this, all credit goes to her)
Q: How does it feel to start year ten with Dean as a demon?
J: We’re still getting our bearings and trying to figure out where we’re going to go, but the whole demon Dean storyline is fun and new and interesting and different.
Q: What’s different about this Dean?
J: Everybody’s asked if this will be a darker Dean, but it’s actually the opposite. It’s a lighter Dean. It’s a Dean without having the weight of the world on his shoulders and trying to fight the good fight, protect his brother and do the right thing. This Dean doesn’t give a shit at all. He’s going to have a good time. He’s going to drink as much as he wants and get into fights and hook up with babes. It’s the life Dean wished he could live but he can’t because he’s the good guy.
Q: Would you say the episodes are more comedic in tone?
J: It’s not comedic. It’s a personal choice I made with the character. He’s not funny. He doesn’t care to the point that it’s kind of scary. He’s just flippant about everything even when he hears his brother might be in some serious trouble. He’s like “I don’t care” which to me is scarier than if he was like [growls]
I am so sorry for what they’ve done to your character. That they think all Dean really wants to do, what he would do if he could, if he had no responsibilities, is drink, fight, fuck, and grab women without their consent, when he knows they don’t want him to touch them.
I mean, shit, the alcoholism alone…Dean doesn’t drink because it’s fun, Dean drinks as a coping mechanism. His heavy drinking was always when he was trying to forget, drown the pain. He was never really a party drinker.
This is who they think Dean is and wants to be. A violent partyboy douchebag whose naturally cruel to women, who molests them without their consent.
"Will you accept this fake ID and become my husband?"
A hunter’s proposal. Cas thinks it’s very romantic and says yes of course.
Happy 6 year anniversary Dean and Cas! ♥
(I might put some more work into it because of the style inconsistencies.)
you know what we need more of?
wedding/romantic comedy au’s where dean is sam’s best man, and cas is a member of jess’ wedding party
and everything seems to go wrong in the days leading up to the wedding and dean and cas have to play damage control…
but they hate each other and spend most of the time arguing about whether the ribbons on the flowers are purple or “they’re lavender, dean.”
and the whole thing is like a train wreck of dominos as dean and cas scramble to get everything ready, and they almost get in a car crash, nearly get arrested for taking the wrong cake from the bakery, almost lose the flowers out of the sunroof of cas’ goofy - “it’s a hybrid, dean” - car
but somehow they manage to get sam and jess down the aisle, completely unaware of all the chaos
and at the reception sam is glowing as he pats dean on the shoulder and says how he and cas “make a good team.”
and dean is about to protest, but then he sees cas out of the corner of his eye twirling jess around on the dance floor and laughing as he simultaneously trips over his own feet, and dean exhales sharply and runs a hand over his mouth to cover his smile.
yeah. yeah we do.
